My Journey to WSC

Chrissy has spent her life pursuing excellence through sport. A former Captain of the McGill Women's Hockey Team, she holds a Master's degree in Kinesiology with a specialization in Sport Psychology from McGill University. Her research focused on athlete development, performance, and wellbeing, deepening her understanding of what helps individuals perform at their best—both physically and mentally.

Throughout her athletic career, Chrissy learned that success is about far more than talent. It is built through discipline, resilience, confidence, and a willingness to embrace challenges. These lessons shaped her leadership style and earned her recognition through numerous awards, including the Quebec Leadership & Social Engagement Student-Athlete of the Year Award (RSEQ), induction into the McGill Scarlet Key Society, the Muriel Roscoe Trophy for Leadership and Athletic Proficiency, and the Jean Béliveau Leadership Award.

Beyond the classroom and the rink, Chrissy has coached and mentored athletes of all ages through hockey camps, team environments, and mental performance coaching. While hockey provided countless competitive experiences, it also gave her lifelong friendships, invaluable life lessons, and opportunities that shaped who she is today.

Her journey to Wally Strength & Conditioning was a natural fit. Chrissy was drawn to the athlete-centered environment, commitment to long-term development, and strong sense of community that make WSC more than just a gym. She believes that great coaching has the power to transform confidence, performance, and overall quality of life, and is excited to help athletes of all ages unlock their full potential.

Why I Work at WSC

What drew me to Wally Strength & Conditioning was the culture. From my first conversations with the team, it was clear that WSC is about much more than fitness. It's a place where people are encouraged, challenged, and supported as they work toward becoming the best version of themselves.

Throughout my life, I have experienced firsthand the impact that sport, fitness, and strong mentorship can have on a person's confidence and overall wellbeing. Some of my greatest memories and most meaningful growth have come from being surrounded by people who believed in me, pushed me beyond what I thought was possible, and celebrated my successes along the way. Those experiences taught me that real transformation rarely happens alone—it happens when people feel supported, connected, and part of something bigger than themselves.

That's what excites me most about coaching at WSC. It's not just about helping people get stronger physically; it's about helping them build confidence, develop resilience, form meaningful relationships, and discover what they're truly capable of achieving. My goal is for every athlete and member to leave not only stronger than when they arrived, but feeling challenged, supported, and inspired to continue pursuing their full potential—both inside and outside the gym.
